The Haunting of Hill House (TV series)

The Haunting of Hill House is an American supernatural horror television drama created and directed by Mike Flanagan for Netflix; produced by Amblin TV and Paramount TV. The series is based freely on the 1959 novel of the same name by Shirley Jackson. The plot alternates between two timelines, after five adult siblings whose extraordinary experience at Hill House continued to follow today, reminiscent of the events that led to a hectic night in 1992 when the family fled the palace. Actors Michelle Huizman, Elizabeth Risser, Oliver Jackson Cohen, Kate Siegel and Victoria Bidetti are presented as their adult counterparts. Carla Gugino and Henry Thomas portrayed Olivia and Hugh Crane, and Timothy Hutton appears as an earlier version of Hugh.

The series premiered on Netflix on October 12, 2018. Haunting of Hill House has won critical acclaim, particularly for the values of acting, production and production, and has been described by many as an "effective ghost story". A second season, Haunting of Bly Manor, will be released in 2020, inspired by the 1898 novel The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. Luke and Nell: Go to Hill House to renovate the mansion to sell it and build your house, designed by Olivia. However, due to unforeseen reforms, they have to stay longer and begin to experience increasing miraculous phenomena that lead to tragic loss and family escape from home. Twenty-six years later, the Crane brothers and their separated father meet again after the tragedy, and are forced to face how their time at Hill House affected each.
